Paddling Classes

Kayak & SUP Classes

Many paddlers have never taken a formal class. While you certainly don’t have to take a class to go paddling, some good quality instruction will usually make you a better paddler. Good technique and form leads to a more enjoyable paddle, the ability to cover longer distances and paddle in more conditions, and added safety.

Matagorda Adventure Company offer private coaching and teaches American Canoe Association Paddling classes. We offer up to Level 3 coastal kayaking classes and Day Trip Leader Certification. We specialize in teaching students to handle sit on top kayaks, but we can teach you in any kayak of your choosing. We try to adjust all classes to fit the students’ current abilities and goals.

Whether you are brand new to the sport or ready to take your paddling to the next level, give us a call at 832-779-4157 and we can discuss what class is right for you.
